A new database of quantitative information about American small business has been made available to the general public. The site, located at 411SmallBusinessFacts.com is a compilation of polls collected by the NFIB Research Foundation.

What's really cool about this site is the you can determine what type of small business data you are looking for and then hop on over to the search page to find your information. You can search by year or by topic -- and the topics are vast. Here's a small sample list:

Advertising (2006)
Advisors (2002)
Alliances (2004)
Banks, Evaluation (2005)
Budget (2007)
Cash Flow (2001)
Climate, Business (2006)
Competition (2003)
Cost Increases (2001)
Disasters (2004)
Employees (2001)
Energy Consumption (2006)
Expenses (2006)
Experience, Owner (2002)
Government (2003)
Health Insurance (2003)

Poll data is included all the way back to surveys dating to 2001. Each survey contained information gathered from approximately 750 small employers.
